New Direction…
New plan! After a wonderful and insightful meeting with a very cool lawyer, it’s clear that the move which makes the most sense for BMM is not to go into the business of being a nonprofit, but rather to focus our creative energy into being a music education organization which seeks to be the beneficiary of nonprofits and other charitable sources including individual patrons and donors.
Our mission remains to give free and low cost music lessons, workshops and masterclasses. We also aim to give free concerts in low income communities, as well as establish a community center for kids to hang out and play music after school and on vacations. Any amount helps, there is strength in numbers so if you can spare a dollar a month, go for it. Or go big! Remember $240 supports at least one student with weekly lessons. Also let us know what kind of rewards you would be interested in as a patron.
